June 10th, 2006 Manistee Fishing Over The Weekend:

There was an early morning harbour bite, that lasted until full sun on the water. The three days of strong north wind was responsible. Fishing was excellent in the mid 13's to the mid 14's in 170 to 220 feet of water, 55 to 80 feet down, east-west troll. Riggers and dipseys rigged with Capt. John Kings Reel Flashers, BTI's and meat heads took all the fish on our charter that morning. We were 9 for 14. Meat out fished spoons as usual for us.

June 19th, 2006:

The high winds and waves caused us to cancel our Sunday charter. Word is the fishing had been very slow all week, with one to two fish per outing. Look for fishing to improve with stable weather. Most fish were caught in the 8's to the 10's 100 to 200 FOW, 50 to 140 down on the riggers.
